    Actually, they do - check there meta tags.
    I'm seeing this:

    <meta name="robots" content="index,follow">

    and a robots.txt that allows everything, what am I missing?

    EDIT: Ahhhh, I was looking at http://www.trafficpower.com/ not http://www.traffic-power.com

    For:
    http://www.traffic-power.com
    I am seeing this:
    <meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">

    For:
    http://www.trafficpower.com
    <meta name="robots" content="index,follow">

    You right - the second one appears banned - both versions have a few links to them.

    I think theri is a general problem with asking if an seo firm is reputable on a seo board

    half the people who are here sell seo services

    and no matter who the company is they are probably not going to recommend them, unless there is something in it for them

    traffic-power may be total spam, but who here can recommend an effective seo company, that someone won't call a spammer

    if a seo company is successful then everyone hates them, if mention seoinc on some boards you will see waht i mean

    I know this may be too little too late, but for a SEO company to have crap page rank, and hardly anything listed in Google, I would definately stay away.
    So, here's the signature... Sans bold... Automotive Dealer SEO, Car Dealer Pay Per Click, Inventory and Reputation Management

    One of my friends has a site, and they use TP.

    When he showed me the spam he got on his email a year ago. I said, don't do it!

    He said to late i signed up for a year and they gave me a discount $3100 instead of $3700 because i paid all at once.

    Rankings are good, but the top 10 rankings they promise are pretty broad. They will use any SE thay feel like to quote a stat from. They also suggest some keyword phrases that anyone could get a top ranking with (thank god for Overture suggestion tool)

    Well, the year is almost up.

    The site is not on Yahoo or MSN anymore.
    It still ranks great in Google.

    1 pixle gifs that link to hidden pages were removed shortly after Florida. 1 pixel text links were added instead.

    Hidden css links are prominant.

    A few of the links they use are linkfarms. The rest are interlaced pages of their creation that are filled with irrelevant crap.

    The area i live in has a web community that is just realizing SEO. As it stands, my freind's site is getting acclaim from competitors for his rankings.

    I see now that some of the other people in my area are starting to use some SEO pages for ranking-some in the light of what TP has done for him. (some of them are quite baffling as to why? There is a person who started copying the SE results from Google for a term and placing that as a page, no redirect, just a link called HOME on the bottom).

    I can't wait until his contract is up.

    Any suggestions on how to effectively handle all of the pages that they created for his site that are ranking so high?

    There is a new site in production with the expectation that the original one will be banned soon. That doesn't change the fact that there is about 10g's of print advertising supporting the URL.

    As a novice, I am glad to see some support for my knee jerk opinion from so many months ago (when i just found out what a meta tag was).

    An email a few months ago was sent to my freind--they said they (TP)hired 250 new employees.

    Finaly, I got my freind to call them up and get some bitching done. They have never returned the call or sent a follow up email.

    --Just what i have experienced.

    I want to know why this post is attracting so many first time posters. Who are these people? They give no identification at all.

    It leads me to believe that they are part of this whole "SEO Conspiracy"

    Heh heh,

    Rich :-X

    Maybe because this is the target audience of TrafficPower, and they are not able to sell their ***t to experienced webmasters?

    well - I figure i'd jump into this one too.

    Funny, because just yesterday Traffic Power called my sales guy and spilled his info to him. My sales guy came to me with all this and was pretty much skeptical to begin with. I went to thier site, and I think it was the lack of working links, ZERO PR, and NO spidering allowed that pretty much made my decision.

    Stupid... And then I find this thread... hahaha.. unreal.
    How do these guys stay in business? lol...
