    ((( Google vs. Overture )))

I'm getting a bunch of love and hate from the Google forum and it appears we have some advertising GURU's here so my question is. Should I use Google to advertise or Overture? Please advise!!

I've been hearing alot about google being biased in their page ranking system. I think it probably has some truth to it but I don't think it'll really have an effect on the majority of sites. An example would probably my site. Search Jimmy in google and you'll find eliteskills in there just because it has the name Jimmy in it a good few times while the other sites that have jimmy in the URL and title still get the same weight on the name. Well, it isn't hurting me any, I'll tell you that much.

If you mean using adwords over overture ppc I have had more success for less on adwords. Once you get the hang of it and figure out the right products to promote.

Google is the way to go....

    Hi Calvin!

I would suggest you to start with Google Adwords first. It's easier and faster to get your ads approved and in most cases it is cheaper. You can have your Ad running with Google Adwords in minutes, as on the otherside it could take up to 5 business days to get approved at Overture. You can start your bid as low as $0.05 at Google, as on the otherside your minimum bid on Overture is $0.10. So there are a lot more facts to start with Google and as you learn how to play the PPC game, you can ad Overture in addition. Keep in mind you have to track and follow your ads very carefully to find where your winners and loosers. It first starts with your Keywords. I use Adwords Analyzer to find the best keywords for my niche. You also have to learn some rules before you start, because you could also loose money faster than you can look. I highly recommend the Google Cash ebook as start. As a bonus now they have included an interview with Jonathan Mizel and Adwords "Guru" Perry Marshall, where Perry reveals some of his hottest tricks how to survive in the Adwords Game.
Please feel free to ask, if you still have more questions.
    All the best
