Affiliate Software vs Affiliate Programs Directories.

Can anyone give me an advice which affiliate method I should use ?
I want to start an Affiliate program in the next few weeks and are now searching for the best method. I think CJ.com and Linkshare.com are to expensive. I need a program for a lower marketing budget.

What's the best ? Have any merchant have experience with this affiliate programs ? Write it down.

Check out Shareasale it is a NETWORK (not directory) like CJ & Linkshare but only costs $150 set up.
