    Google Blacklist Check

I was told that you could check your site for blacklisting by typing in your URL into the Google Search box and searching. If you are blacklisted, it will tell you that the site is blacklisted in bold red letters. Is this true?

Also, i was told that Google is reindexing and that 10% of the world was temporarily dropped and that they are reappearing every day. Is thuis true?

    Thanks!

No. If nothing comes up, it is likely either not indexed yet or may be banned, but it won't say anything like "This site is banned!"

No, I don't think so. I imagine this would have been wildly discussed on every webmaster forum on the net by now.

I am reading between the lines in your message...

Do you use traffic-power? (it looks lke it to me)
Its looks like you got banned? (most TP sites get banned)
From your message, did TP spin this BS story to you? (they tend to do that)

Maybe you need to read this thread:

Yes, that is correct. I have read the thread, but was trying to give TP the benefit of the doubt. I am 99% sure they have burnt me, but i figure a couple of days won't hurt anything top see of i magically re-appear! Fat chance, huh?

If it helps, I just checked www.vectortec.com and it's banned in Google.

Remove all the spam on your website and email Google telling them the situation and politely ask for a reinclusion request.

    Reinclusion

If you fix the problems and ask google to be reincluded, you might have a chance to get back in.

I saw something somewhere today that because all these TP sites are getting busted that if you fix all the problems and ask google to reconsider you for inclusion, you have a pretty good chance right now.

Maybe it was at webmasterworld. It was a paraphrased email from google, something Brett said, or something GG said, I can't remember, but at the time it seemed like it was from a reliable source.

I realize google has always done this, but I saw something that led me to believe they were being particularly sympathetic today.
