Hi All,
I've been using this SEO doctor tool thingy, http://www.instantposition.com/seo_doctor.cfm . It seems to put a lot of emphasis on meta keywords, and I was wondering if this tool is still worth using or is it simply out of date.

Hi Dave,
To be honest this won't tell you anything that you can't get anywhere else. If it's looking at your tags specifically, they don't count for much anymore.
And you can look at your own page and see if you've got keyword placement etc.
If it were to tell you how many IBLs you've got, you're pagerank, and how to improve them it would be ok, but thats just dreaming.
It seems to me to be ok for a starter, but as I said, nothing that you can't do yourself.

What would be better then that is the anchor text for each link.If it were to tell you how many IBLs you've got, you're pagerank, and how to improve them it would be ok, but thats just dreaming.

This smaller engine has a feature that will tell you the top anchor text on IBL's. It's interesting, although it doesn't always show them.

Thanks for your input.
And thank for putting me onto mozdex, t'will come in handy.
The thing I like about seo dr. is it helps me focus on keywords. and points out the bit's I've missed, especially on friday afternoon or monday morning (when it's really hard to focus!)
Do any of you recommend an alternative to SEO dr.?
