newbie affiliate needs help with adwords

I just read Google Cash and I'm excited about the possiblity of actually making some $$ on the net. Can anyone give me any basic suggestions on starting.

I'm sure everyone comes upon the delima of so much competition. I've joined CJ ank Linkshare.

It seems like nearly every search I look into, there are already several adword campaigns, to many to compete with. Even when overture says there are only a couple hundred searches for something, it seems like there are many adwords.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a newbie to break into the world of overcoming this and making some money?

You say you read "Google Cash". I thought that by buying that and reading it that it would give you all the answers you're looking for.

You mean to tell me that you read it and are now asking for information like this?

Dont waste your money on books. You'll need it when you get started with adwords.

I would find 2 or 3 programs that pay $10 or more and get started. There are not any wide open niches anymore. You will have to get in, learn the tricks and beat out the competition. And dont expect to price a keyword at 5 cents and get any quality traffic.

Some not to start with? Insurance, mortgages, dating, debt services or web hosting. These will cost you to much money.

Subscribe to wordtracker to see what people are selling. Read Google Adwords guidlines thouroughly.
Just get started and get those $5 bills ready.

two totally different opinions. I think I'll stick with cjshu. bhartzer, are you serious when it sounds like you're saying that googlecash tells everything one needs to know?

Anyway, is it okay to assume I can make a decent income at this if I really work at it?

Yes, a FREE ad for 50 book. Great. A little hint for you -- "guide" and "ad" don't mean the same thing ... unless you're thinking you're going to "guide" them out of their money.

I just joined this forum, so I wouldn't know, but is this type of shameless advertising always permitted?

The moderators should clean this up. Who wants to come to a place like this to read ads all day?

That is not my site but that of a successful adwords user that has lots of advice for beginners. He also has a blog in which he lets you in on what he has done on adwords.

He does have some things for sale there. Doesn't everyone here? It is totally Free contrary to what others on this board think. You do not have to buy anything or give an email address to read the info. Im sorry if someone thinks I am advertising. I have edited my previous message to take out the website address. Just letting you in on what helped me and it wasn't buying a bunch of popular ebooks.

cjshu has always posted useful information in the past 6 months and a link to a resource of information (even if that resource is charged)as long as its not self-promotion is fine. I have read www.adwordprofits.com and its not my cup of tea but it is information about the topic and it is free.

Welcome to this wonderful forum. You only get very basic information in the Googlecash ebook. You need to do some work yourself and test and track as much as you can. The "Google Adwords Game" as I call it, is not as easy as some people are trying to tell you in their salesletters. You need a minimum of around $500 cash to learn and tryout the Google Adwords system yourself. I've purchased nearly every ebook about Google Adwords and make a five figure income every month with Google Adwords. Most of these ebooks are crap and not worth the money. The only one I can recommend at the moment besides Googlecash is mentioned in my sig line.
