Page dropped on organic search since AdWords?

Hi all,

Few days ago we started an AdWord campaing for a site, www.ballonsport.nl (and for others but that isnot important)
The pb is since than one internal page that ranked 13 for a keyword simply dissapeared from the SERP :o
however, the main page still rests in the SERPS (beeing ranked 15 now for that keyword).

Question: did you guys encountered that sometimes ?
(did google dropped that page to have more people clicking on the payed result ?).
I read the posts in this forum category, but did not find an answer to that so far :(

There's no connection between SERPs and using AdWords.
You've probably experienced moves in SERPs because of latest update which happened few days ago.

radu: There have been several posts about this. Take as read that there's no relationship between AdWords and SE positioning. Google is dealing with two entirely different things and any up or down changes in when/where the Ads and site listings appear is absolutely coincidental.

Hi guys,
thanks for your answers.
However, in this case it's not "up and down" syndrom.
Just the main page remained almost on the same position, while the subpage simply dissapeared from the results (ok, I admit, I did not look at the 10th page with results).

My apologies radu. I read your post too quickly.
Again, though, your AdWord usage has no connection with what happened. I can only guess at the reason, but you might try comparing your own subpage with what is turning up for the search phrase. Therein you may just find a clue as to what you could/should do to reappear.

Hi Duncan,

Tnx for this. I did look at the concurent pages, of course, but I'll have a closer look right now.

However, my latest thoughts are the page (http://www.ballonsport.nl/ballonvaren.htm) got penalised for over-optimizing (for "ballonvaren" keyword), even we did take care of that :).

my subpage appeared few minutes ago.
however, it made me think what was it all about ....4 days of temporary dropped....
