Normally, guestbooks are not used for sites that promote professional services, but since your site is informational, I don't see why you cannot use a guestbook.. and a counter, if you wish.
your site is lovely and informative... my only comment is that your background is not necessary and does not, in fact, apply to your subject... perhaps it would be best if you did not use any kind of bordered background as it interferes with your navigation buttons... by the way, I like the way you have "back" on your navigation structure...

    Thanks for your comments

Thanks very much for looking at my site and giving me feedback. I appreciate the comments and suggestions you make. We are still updating our site so will consider keeping the leafy background or maybe just have a solid pale coloured background. Thanks again!

    Site Review

Would have to agree with Info on the background. Although the ivy might remotely be consided cover for the quail, that's a pretty far stretch of one's imagination. I think you'd do much better with a simple colored background.

Likewise the bold green and red you have in the buttons and bars seems a bit out of place. They are nicely done, don't get me wrong, but they just don't look like they belong with something as docile as a quail. The buttons and bars overpower your pictures of the timid little birds.

Given we are talking quail here, one would want to think along the lines of a quail in considering a color theme for the site and I would suggest maybe an Antique White theme, say #f9e8d2 or #c8b9a6 for background. Then #ebdbc5 for medium background and #817468 or #816e59 for dark background, your bars/buttons and/or text over the initial light backgrounds.

Should you need color pallet to look these over for consideration, see the chart at http://www.rtfi.us/Concepts/aa_colorchart.html the Antique White theme is found first two rows. Likewise Bisque (a few rows down) or Wheat ( (clear at the bottom of the page) might offer nice alternative color themes for you.

Would also agree that I like the forward and back buttons in the menu, but I would move the e-mail, forward and back links to the bottom of the list, one has tendency to move down a list clicking links in which case the viewer will be trying to go forward and backward before they have been anywhere, and trying to e-mail you before they have seen your product.

The site is very informative. I never realized there were so many varities of quail, or color variations thereof! Data and pictures provided are great.
