Is google systematically destroying organic SEO and are they going to go after

    Long tail keywords next?

I see very few independents anymore in the top ten of the Google search results, . Mostly I see Walmart, Amazon, Ebay Target and the like all hawking the same wares,

this seems to be the result since Panda, and more since Penguin. Personally we have been for the last few years, even while we enjoyed first page ranking of our main keyword, on the long tail keywords and regional marketing.....and because of that we have survived even though with the latest updates we are in third page hell.

We know Google is about money.....they are not really interested in providing quality search results, except that it keeps people coming back to click on the well hid ppc listings.

Small business often runs on the ragged edge of profit margins and 30,000 per month ppc campaign takes a huge bite of the pie.

With further Pengiun pecks announced it seems likely that they will continue on removing hand holds to SEO until they have removed them all.

So my question is are they going to find a way to after the more specific seraches (long tail and regional)

Yeah....I am just a little bit paranoid, I see dead websites ;o)

    1. Do you have some examples?
    2. How did you choose your key words - examples?

shareholders have to be pleased and if it means squeezing the quality for extra profits then so be it.

Fisherman use a net, usually with little holes in it. This is to catch the bigger fish and let the little ones swim free until next time around but sometimes they also catch ones that they "manually review" and let off the hook because they didn't meet the requirements.

Does this mean they have cast their net on the fat heads and are coming back for the long tails later?

stay cool and keep trimming off the fat.
