Adwords conversion efficiency comparison: Search against display network
I have this question:
Did someone perform tests on Adwords conversion efficiency comparison, between search and display network?
I'd be curious to hear some numbers, if there are forum members who have tested this.
I have performed some quick test today, initial results showing me like 10% conversion efficiency for display network (destinations unfiltered yet), versus broad match search with negative words filtered, on a less general niche (in the area of construction materials).
Some feedback on this matter, other opinions, would be greatly appreciated.
Personally I've not had good experiences with the display network. Cost per conversion is much higher than search network. This really does seem to boil down to the target market though as I know others who have had a lot of success in display!
