    Unhappy Keyword/s in the Title

    Hi,

I just wanna know if it's really necessary to include at least one of your target keywords in your title? I'm just wondering 'cause there are times that it's kind stressful to insert the keyword in the title. Plus, it looks a bit spammy, specially if you'll see the snippets of your latest published articles.

Search Engines' robots are fetching data first from the Title Tag & then from the Meta Description tag. So, I think the most important keywords should be there on your Title Tag.

It is times like this that you have the opportunity to create new keywords. . I regularly find search engine traffic delivered using the same text as I have used in page titles.

If it is the right title for the page, I tend to suspect it is the right title for the page. My owns sites have many hundreds of working keywords.. . Some of them only apply to a single page.

You should certainly have no apprehension about making your page title 'Exactly correct for the individual page'.

    Hi Tina

I can't understand why this would be stressful, it should come naturally. For example (and using my site as an example), Its natural for me to tell my visitors and Google that I am a web designer that is based in Essex. I think its when those who list every keyphrases under the sun is when it starts to look rather spammy.

The question should be how much is too much?

Why would having a keyword in the title of your web page facilitate faster crawling? Please expound on this or supply a link(s) from the search engines where your statement supported.

As maybe. . But if you were a horticulturist in Essex and you spent a year developing a new rose variety that featured the rather nice characteristic of having blue and yellow petals. . It would make perfect sense to title your new web page with the photos and decriptions - ' Blue and yellow striped rose'

Giving the page a title that contained 'Horticulturist and Essex' might well be staying true to your targeted keywords, but a bit silly when you can quite correctly expand your keyword base.

A simply text link to the new page Blue and yellow rose is perfectly acceptable, sensible, and adds new searchable keywords to your website (certainly not spammy). Quite the opposite, anyone searching the internet for a pretty blue and yellow rose would find it easier than searching every 'Horticulturist' titled web page.
