Hi all, I've just registered and I'd love an opinion or two about the look, feel and basic mechanics of my new forum based website. I'm still finding my way with MyBB, and I used Plesk Sitebuilder to create the rest of the site. Thanks! www(dot)problembox.com

First of all I think the site name you choose is wrong, it should be like "SolutionBox" instead of problembox.

Secondly I think the logo should be on left side and that worried man picture should be in center.

You may have a point regarding the name, I kinda had an image of a box where you banished all your problems to; I might incorporate this to a logo. I've changed the logo like you said, does that look better?

Your title tag can get better if you add a couple of phrases to that, briefly telling how your forum can help people with problems shares their stories and look for solutions. At present it just holds your domain name and nothing else. Your main forum page has a very huge header image which may need some adjustments, the height is 275 pixels that I guess is a bit too much for the project, use a shorter one and add some images to that.

There's a huge blank area in the image which can be filled with pictures or even useful text lines. Maybe you could add a few more subcategories to your forum because they are too few at the moment. For example, the problems by category section contain five more areas but what are they? When visitors access your main forum page, they expect to get aware of the main areas of the board without having to make a lot of clicks.

Thanks Bermuda! Ok I've added a link to our blog on the homepage, and I think this improves the general look, but I'm still getting my head around MyBB forum software; I've made the logo smaller and more HQ. I'm in the process of changing the forums, as I completely agree with this, I've never used a forum with so few subforums on display. I want to add the same blog.png image to my forum in that blank space, and have announcements. Possibly an RSS fed like I have on my homepage.

Ok now I've reconfigured the forum; its bigger, listed better and all the threads have been started. Now for the difficult task of getting users!
