SEM is a form of Internet marketing, you can generate lead from this. PPC is a good option.

You should go for SMO and get the social media sites into use. They generally generate huge lead and even that's completely relevant to your requirement. If one uses social media networking properly, the leads generated would be more than any other source.

Care to explain how this is done and your experience with SMO?

I read one article about this somewhere and found very good points to generate leads. The points we as follows:
1.Create web based tools that require people to optin in order to use them
    2. Run contests on your website
    3. Create premium membership area
    4. Run a free service on your website
    5. Create squeeze pages and link to them within your content

Pay per view, pay per click programs are all available for you to drive targeted traffic if you want to get the effects instantly.
I think you are a little anxious about current getting a few free traffic online

Step one....get people to your site. SEM (Pay Per Click) SEO (Although that is becoming a faded glory) SMO (Social Media ) Email....use EVERYTHING to get people to your site

Step two.... KEEP them on your site....give them a reason to stay and look further, you don't want to pay for their visit just to have them click you off

Step three.... COVERT...get the sale, you have to pay for all those clicks.

Craigmn3 left out the most important step. Capture the prospect's email and cellphone number. Mail or text message weekly.

It often takes awhile to develop enough trust for a potential client to consider you, so a newsletter is a way of building rapport and letting potential clients get to know you in a virtual way. To get the email you can offer a whitepaper or report of some sort as a "reward" for opting in. Make this report or whitepaper something that makes sense and helps them in their decision, ie "How to choose a CAD service provider" or similar. You can see a squeeze page example if you click my Work At Home Tips link in my signature (though it is a work in progress, and not the best example at this point in time. It does have the major elements you need, and it is converting.)

You need to break your problems down into different steps so we (and you) know where the problem lies. How are you getting traffic and how much traffic are you getting? Are you measuring conversions and if so, how? How much traffic do you need before you get a lead?
