First off, users in Asia are less valuable than users in Canada and the US. Facebook makes the most money of off North Americans - then Europeans - then Asian users. The culture in Asia is also different, which is why I'm saying that FB is not guaranteed to work there. Facebook is blocked in China too.

A billion users is irrelevant unless you can monetize them. A high portion of Facebook user accounts are either fake, never used or from people in 3rd world countries where no one is advertising to anyway. Getting new users is not nearly as important as squeezing more money out of the ones they already have - but in their biggest markets (NA and Europe) - they've already hit the ceiling.

thats simply not true...fb has 65% of the addressable market in the US so there is plenty of room for growth and in Europe there are presently 800+ million internet users with 232+ million of them using facebook....again, plenty of room for growth and certainly not even close to the ceiling. again, im simply stating the facts.

Facebook offer one of the best service in social media site. There have been many technologies and other things that have been hot for a while but over time something comes along that displaces it as the newest, hottest trend.
