Check this logo please.

I’m starting a BMX brand and shop with a friend in Perú. We picked up PRIMATE as the company name and I designed this logo.
We want to show a dark and a little mystical concept.
What do you thing about it?logo

does the primate (logo) have to be angry looking? anger typically repels people...

My advice would be to try out a few different concepts. We can help you better if we have a variety to look at.

I would try a few different concepts, too. On first glance I saw the primate then it was like one of those pictures in a Psychology test where you can see a different image. They eyes look like two birds facing each other so visually I keep going back and forth between the primate and the birds.

For me it isnt clear enough or memorable. Ask me to draw it from memory, and I would have no idea in 1 hour. Simpler designs work better IMO

That made me laugh when I re-looked at the logo I see what rainman is saying. Maybe go for something a bit simpler in design?

I agree. I did not find it simple at all, and I found it confusing. The name is Primate, but I also saw birds. There is a disconnect. A simplified gorilla head would have been consistent (I am not saying that is what it should be - just the first thing that came to my mind).

I also agree with several others that it is easier to comment when presented with several options.
