    Merging Facebook Business Pages

I'm working with a client and found that for their restaurant there is more than one business page. One was the one they've created and have followers on. The other is the one Facbook created and which when people check in, is the one that appears. How do I eliminate the one page, without creating problems such as not having a place to check in on from their phones, etc. I contacted Facebook, but never heard back from them.

If I remember correctly, you can claim the page that was generated by Facebook. Try looking around to see if there's an edit option. Once you claim the page you should be able to merge them.

I had thought of that and have claimed one of the pages. But I don't see anything about merging the page with another one.

Ok I wrote about this a while ago - this should show you how to merge two pages.

There was a way I found to remove some facebook accounts but cannot remember. Perhaps it was not a hard process because those extraneous pages may have been tied to my original account - can't say for sure.

Even going by what Facebook has on their site, I can't find the merge pages feature. Supposedly its on the resources page, but I don't see it.

You'll see it once you have two pages with similar names.
