What's your Opinion on Yahoo!'s New CEO?

Perhaps, most of you know the new Yahoo's CEO Marissa Mayer, the twentieth employee of Google known for some of the successful products of Google; and served Google for 13 years now turned to take new challenging responsibilities to raise the business values of Yahoo and to get the trust of people what Yahoo has 8 years ago. Do you think the courageous lady can do anything better for Yahoo!'s better fortune? Share your opinion, if any

I know that she is very talented CEO, Google will not put her into that position if she is not good enough for the job.But let's see in the future if she is the right one.

Marissa Mayer was a spokesperson for Google. Nothing more. So I don't expect any miracle from the Yahoo.

Appearing to media was one of her key roles. She has served as a designer, an engineer, product manager and executive. In Google she held various key responsibilities in Google's key products developments. Just try to go through her profile; you can get to know of her lot more.

Off topic: Just a reminder... The Yahoo! sub-forum is reserved for discussions relating to SEO for Yahoo! search, not general discussion about the company or other products and services. Therefore, this thread has been moved in the general discussion area (the Castle Break Room). Please, carry on.

Wow. You really have no clue at all what she did and what her skill set is. I;d wager she is FAR smarter than anyone here. She is a very accomplished engineer and programmer in her own right.

In a whimsical moment, I recall all the new introductions that google has tried to implement over the last 12 years. If there is one prerequisite for what yahoo requires in a new CEO it is someone with great intelligence that has an expert insight into what does not work. (The best grounding for discovering what does work)

I understand the the lady in Question is also expecting a baby, and was still offered the job. From where I sit she sounds like the right kind of dynamite to Blow Yahoo back to where it once was.

Currently Yahoo needs a Bomb put uder it. . Marissa Mayer looks good from here.

Light the fuze Gal . . We need a better Yahoo!..

I respect your idea but this is not an ordinary position ,given to any one who is capable of doing simple thing as what you emphasize, maybe you right but it's too early to judge her.
