    Crowdfunding traffic ideas?

    Hi everyone,

I posted a new crowdfunding campaign with a good cause in mind around 5 days ago. I have 60 days to come up with $200,000 on my goal. Other than the following techniques I am already employing, does anyone have any additional suggestions for bringing traffic to this?

    - Blog hopping
    - Guest posting (i.e.; problogger, etc..)
    - Newsletter subscribers
    - RSS subscribers - Blog posting
    - Social networks (Twitter, FB, StumbleUpon, Digg, LinkedIn, FriendFeed)

I am also going to get some Fiverrs to do some mass sharing. Any other ideas would be helpful. I can use all of the help I can get. The campaign url is http://www.indiegogo.com/lets-help-the-homeless <---- hope it's ok to post it so you can see it's all gravy.
Help me start a homeless shelter that teaches people business, computers, and finance so they get back on their feet. This is an indiegogo project and I need all the help I can get. Please contribute (even small amounts) and share!

    Hi Collusion!

That’s quite a challenging project you’re taking on, very commendable aspiration.

Looking through the indiegogo site briefly it was heartbreaking to see that a fundraiser to help an artist create virtual art would get more response than a fundraiser to help real people struggling to survive.

A difficult challenge, in every aspect,... So when you start to get discouraged just remember,... the harder the work, the greater the reward!

Have you done any press releases? You seem to have a talent for writing and with the right angle, a story could draw some helpful attention.

Your summary at Indiegogo stated that there is a shelter in Chicago, but you realized the problems it had. It was not always open plus it had no incentive to help people get out and be independent due its funding being based on how many residents were there. So,...

How will you manage to run a full-time shelter and your business not suffer? I’m not trying to sound negative, but rather trying to see the big picture.

Thanks for the response Clicken. To answer your question, those shelters get specific grants which increase in size depending on how many residents you have. Firstly, I will still get those grants. I just won't try to inflate them by keeping people at rock bottom. In addition, the reputation of the other shelters is pretty bad. That alone means every other homeless person near my shelter will jump ship and head my way. I plan to get residents by a positive reputation and look forward to the day when I have no more residents. A shelter cannot be run like a business, otherwise it will only be looking for millions no matter who suffers in the process.
