    Google Dropping all eCommerce Listings??

Hi all - This sounds pretty far fetched, but below is a link one of our clients sent to us from Aspdotnetstorefront.com regarding Google dropping all ecommerce pages unless you use the DotNetFeed product. I have a hard time believing this so I'm looking for input. I couldn't find any Google update announcements regarding this and our traffic has dropped only 8% b/c the company is seasonal and this is to be expected.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Hightlights:
"Your product pages are targeted for exclusion from Google’s organic search results."

    Yes, this is really happening
    • Your organic shopper traffic will drop like a stone – sure, you’ll still get free traffic to your informational pages, but those visitors will rarely be shoppers, since Google will be handling commerce out of google.com/shopping.
    • You will need to use Google’s new paid Product Listing Ads to reach millions of online shoppers looking for your product.
    • Relevance, trust, keywords, and SEO strategies will return to the forefront and you won't need to engage in price wars in order for your products to be seen. The quality of your traffic will improve.

Wow, so much FUD in one little page. Talk about trying to take advantage of people. Either that or they have no clue what is really happening. Either is a reason to avoid them.

There are an infinite number of ways to fool people on the internet. One simple rule:

Don't believe everything you read online, even if it is on a reputable sites.

Definitely doesn't pass the smell test, google is all about providing the most relevant search results, and in many cases those are ecommerce sites.
