    Abhinav,

    We did have that setting already. Just wanted a plugin that would make it easier and allow titles and descriptions to easily be rewritten. We discovered though that the JoomSEO plugin actually damaged the htaccess file, deleting code and causing other pages to break. Still sorting it out..

    sh404sef is the tool you're looking for. It does much more than pretty url's and titles, it's very powerful in fact. Before going live with it, I highly recommend spending enough time to understand how to get the most out of it. Whether you use it or not, will depend on the components installed. Since Joomla 2.5 I don't use it for rather simple site anymore, the Joomla SEF is quite good now.

    I made a mistake earlier, saying that the joomSEO plugin caused the site to break. It was actually the joomSEF plugin. We are still trying to get it back working properly.

    sh404sef and AceSEF are the best SEO extensions for any joomla website.
