Google are constantly doing updates, not all of which get announced. I haven't seen anything specific in the last few days.
There is, on average, and update to the algorithm every single day. Some are more dramatic than others. Also, many updates are not instantaneous across the entire web and are rolling updates that take time to reach every website. Your's may simply be further down on the list of sites to get updated. Or it could be a random issue, or a new datacenter, or a site that had linked to you lost it's juice.
In most cases the best response is to not panic and wait a few days to see what is happening. Then adjust accordingly.
Dad always said, if you are good at something, make sure they pay you for it.

Do you know about Panda 3.9 update? The latest salvo in the ongoing battle between the good guys with high-quality websites and the bad guys who build content farms and other low-quality sites of that ilk, will affect around 1 percent of all searches, Google said in a Twitter post.
Is there actually such an update? Could you link to the Twitter post please? It may just be me but I can't find it.
Incidentally, the idea of a battle between good guys and bad guys is IMO ridiculous. In old western films the good guys wore white hats and the bad guys wore black but that was fiction and real life is much more diverse.
There has been a new Panda update on 25th July, which will be affecting 1 % searches.
There is the Twitter link - https://twitter.com/google/status/227901862706298880

Ok but when you follow the link from Twitter it just leads to a Google Webmaster Central Blog entry from May 2011. Is the person who posted it an official Google spokesperson?
I!m not saying it isn't necessarily real, just looking for confirmation.
SearchEngine Land also confirmed it.
