IMO, the interesting and informative content is enough for your visitors.
What else do you want to do it for your visitors on this entertainment platform?
    Be informative

I also post some random, funny stuff loosely related to marketing to "keep it real" which usually gets a response.
And think about commenting on OTHER people's content. Share the love.
Jokes always go over big. You could start a "fun club". But then you have to monitor closely what kind of jokes are added.

Great, that will keep them occupied and on your page for 20 seconds. Then what? They leave if that is the ONE THING that you do. How does that provide them enough value to stick around and return later?

Or a voting section, where your fans can vote for all sorts of stuff, but a bit different from "who do you think is more attractive? Actress A or actress B?". Employing the same concept ask something like "with whom would you like to be stranded for 3 days on a deserted island? A or B". You know, the same thing that they are used to from other places, but with a twist.

That's very well put. Polls are popular, among some people at least. It makes them feel that their opinion is valued. But why return to your polls, rather than somebody else's? -- the answer is whether you can add that magic twist!

Posting the attractive images, interesting information and daily updates will drive more people to your FB fan page. And as drive to your fan page then get yourself busy in the conversation with them and make some interesting discussions, but with the conversation, also be focused to manage your daily activities to make your fan page more attractive.

You should transform your business from product/service centered to customer centered. Dream of what you want your customers to become and how you would transform them. From there, you would surely be able to formulate ways to provide value to them.
