I read that Google plus and number of +1 for a page are one on the important factor for higher rankings in Google.com. I want to ask you that apart from adding +1 code at all the pages, what else can I do to increase the +1 counts for my site.

Google plus is great source to get traffic and PR, I suggest you send friend request to other members and share your profile them.
Google +1 votes are not that influential in the rankings...Yet. Google can't place that much weight on their own metric as that would severely skew the true intent of search, since non-tech savvy people probably would never think to "plus 1" a site they liked.
Google will still rely on tried and true basics, and might give a tiny bit of influence to the +1 users.
I think at this time the pluses are more directed towards personalization of the search results for oneself. In other words, the information you PLUS will show up again in various searches you do - this seems like an SEO thing because the search results are affected but log out and browse privately and see what the plus really does for you - probably nothing - for now.

I reluctantly bought in to the Google+ thing, after reading information here about Google+ profiles being an aid to confirming authorship, having had a large number of Blog posts appropriated and reproduced.
I added a bunch of users from Guitar groups, and I am in about 160 'Circles'. When I add content to my site I post a short message to G+, as I do on my FB page and other social sites. The number of '+1s' I've had is minimal - but as far as I can see, most of the denizens of G+ are in the same position as myself - artists, content producers etc. with something to promote, and in fairness I haven't been too free with the +1 button myself.
I do seem to have had a slight boost in rankings since signing up, but can't confirm that this is directly attributable to G+. I think what Morestar said about using the G+ buttons mainly affects the personalized appearance of SERPs if you are logged in to any Google service. At the same time, I do believe that the personalized appearance of my listing in the SERPs ( try a search for: guitar chords and lyrics ), where you can see my ugly mug and a link to my Google Profile, does make the listing stand out, and draws the searcher's eye more than a standard listing would.
I initially thought this was a personalization thing also, but it shows when I'm not logged in to Google, and I've checked with friends that they also see this 'enhanced' result. From my stats I seem to be getting more clicks on terms which were toward the bottom of Page 1 ( song chords, guitar songs ), which seems to confirm that searchers are drawn to these 'different' listings. TBH, if it wasn't for this, I probably would have abandoned G+ by now, I don't find it to be a viable platform for engaging with people who are interested in my content.
Simple, ask people to Plus one you! Whenever you write a great article or blog post on your site, it's perfectly acceptable to ask your readers to be socialable and share if they enjoyed your content.
Really? It's that simple?Originally Posted by FirstVector

I think Google Plus also affect to rank of one site . The more vote for your site, the more reputation you gain. This is one of many factor for Google to analyse and rank your site
