    Little-Known Facts about Pinterest

    You don't make money!

For the last couple months I've been hearing all this talk about all these gurus making thousands of dollars a day.

Is the hottest thing going? All you do is pin photos and you can make thousands per day.

    SURPRISE:

3 weeks, over 400 followers, over 1,000 pins and I’ve managed to drive 600 visitors and zero sales.

It’s crap like this that makes it difficult for people who want to make an honest living on line to make an honest living.

I've seen Pinterest work in the B2B space. For a client of mine, we targeted certain products where the most common question asked was "What does it look like?" (scientific equipment is soo exciting!). But, taking the time to understand that need and then actively engaging others on the site worked wonders.

Like every other social site out there, I think it's a matter of finding the right product/service for the way that particular audience wants to consume content.

Can you point me to the post where you sold the scientific equipment, maybe I am doing something wrong. Because if you can sell scientific equipment to a group that is something like 98% women. Then I can't for the life of me figure out why I can't sell women clothing?

    e.g. pinterest.com/pin/171136854560531161/

When I clicked the link to visit the page I got this from Pinterest:
    Sorry!

We've blocked this link because it may go to spam or other inappropriate content.

I'd love to see some links from some of these products people are saying they are selling. Because we've run and tracked all kinds of stuff and have not sold anything.

How many followers do these guys have? How many post? It shouldn't be hard to put this to the test if one of these gurus want to point out what I am doing wrong.

Or maybe it was just all about selling the next e-book or the next product?

I'll tell you what, we can put it to the test.

How many accounts do you want to create?

But keep in mind that so far one account has not sold anything. All we need is some skype accounts and an amazon account with someone that wants to share!

Yes I agree, I've read articles and seen posts about pinterest being the best for a lot of companies but I think is not as easy as they say, like in every business you need to have the right traffic for your products/services. I would like to have a little experience on Pinterest to make it work too
