    301 and google

Hi, this is tricky to explain but when I moved my site to wordpress, I used the main home page as the landing page for my major product and also made a page to 301 back to the main page as a category header type thing. This was purely so that it didn't mess the navigation up.

So, I had a page called "Major Product" redirecting to the main page.

Now I have changed the structure slightly and am using the "Major Product" page as the landing page for the major product but the problem is, google keeps picking the page up and dropping it again from the cache. I am assuming it either hates it or it's due to the fact that it was recently 301 redirected. I am wondering if I have made a big mistake in using an existing page that was 301. Has anyone one else experienced bringing a page back from a permanent redirect?

I would just make a new page and delete the old, ex 301 page but it now has some quite nice links going to it and I am not sure the best way to deal with it.

I should probably say that the page was launched 10 days ago. Maybe I am just not giving it enough time? I don't like the way google caches it and then drops it again though.

    Thanks in advance.

I think you should simply give more time for Google to accept the changes. You have written this almost a month ago, is everything ok now?

I believe that you have done again 301 redirection to your new landing page, so now wait the result once your result will be available on search engine with 5 page then start working on it little bit using basic link building techniques. I hope this will work for you.........!
