Getting traffic to your page should probably be considered a separate task to tempting that traffic to click. This seems to be not realy a search engine optimisation problem. you are in the wrong forum (maybe a moderator will move this thread)

In many cases the seemingly impossible task of delivering traffic to your web pages. . Will fall into the "done that bit" basket.

If offer a web address for members to view we may well be able to offer advise.

You can probably list your url in a format like mywebsite/dotcom/problem page if you are not yet allowed to list urls yet.

Sorry Tubby but the question is related to SEO. As having a high impressions but low clicks is the problem which is related to CTR (Click through rate) and believe me it really have a huge impact in search ranking. As it generates the kind of metrics which Google considers when defining the reliability of your website.

Atsad You need to improve your title tags and meta description content. And also you can use rich snippets as your website descriptions.

Well share some more details about your website and its industry. This will help us to recommend which kind of changes will helps to improve your website CTR.

For improving CTR one should have good title tag and interesting and attractive meta description. Also try to use rich snippets and site links. You can also provide your social layer.Social Media Buttons helps you to share your content with the social Web. These buttons allows your visitors to share your content quickly and easily if they feel the content is worth sharing.

Just how does any of this on-page stuff that is invisible in the SERPs induce viewers to click on a SERP listing?

No, it's a marketing question, as SEO is related to gaining placement that yields high impressions, which the OP says are already in hand.

Sorry, but that's an assertion that has been discussed many times here and elsewhere, with no evidence or logical reasoning to support the claim outside personalized search.

CTR is highly unreliable, as it is highly vulnerable to click fraud that is easily masked.

Do you understand that said content is but one of at least nine different sources from which the descriptive snippet in the SERPs is constructed, and that you have no control over whether or not such is used?

Which will induce SERP viewers to click how?

We're still waiting for the OP to return and clear up some of the confusion here. Is the question relating to Adsense impressions/CTR? We usually refer to page impressions as 'page views', and ad placements as impressions, which is why I ask.

An "impression" is the simple display of something; in this case, something that contains a link to the OP's site. Having an impression does not mean that the link was clicked on. Furthermore, the mere fact that a link was clicked on says absolutely nothing about the users experience, as that does not happen until after he clicked.

Where does the OP say anything about ads?

The display of a listing in either the organic or sponsored SERPs are both referred to as "impressions."
