It is quite probable that I my perceived "superior" attitude was well in evidence by the time I was ten years old. Nothing to do with WPW rep. .

This is a forum. . You can expect a variation of comments.

selecting the Post (comments) that you feel are of most use to you is the best way to go. . It seems you have found some comments that you are happy with. .

I feel fairly confident my comments did present a view that does represent a good number of web pro world users. If my posts were regularly unrepresentative of a good few WebProWorl users I would not have accumulated "rep".

I do understand that you might not like my opinion - (it was free. . you get what you pay for)

I'm with whomever brought up, 'attitude'. The OP is ambiguous, and what's more it was easy to read in nefarious manipulation of things for one's own end. It's a no-brainer! If you don't trust the guy to pay you then don't post the link. How hard is that? If you insist on payment first then he has no choice but to pay or walk away. Playing games is no way to do business.

The thing one might consider, though I find it questionable, is passing all unpaid for links through a cgi-bin redirect that would zap any juice, as well as the followed link, in it's tracks (bot can't get into the cgi-bin folder, shouldn't be able to, at least). It would appear nofollowed no matter what, without the rel=nofollow attribute. When they pay, you make it a direct link. You're holding up your end, as the link is always appearing AND it does not have a rel=nofollow attribute. They will never know that it is not indexed or followed because of anything you did (until they check the link, that is).
