    re-index in SE

I recently worked on the meta-tags on all the pages in our website www.empirescreen.com. Should I resubmit the site to all of the search engines or just wait for the spiders to find it? I thought that resubmitting helped ranking, but I have read on the boards some people think it doesn't help.

Do not waste time re-submiting. Most of the meta tags do not count for much in search engines.

    No need to re submit.

Once you're in the SE's index, the bots will come to your site on a regular basis. You should check your server log files to see how often.

The thing that takes a bit of time is for the SE's to update their index of your site. Nothing you can do to speed that up. Patience

After a search engine crawls and indexes your site, there is no need to submit to that engine again.

Assuming that your site has a bot-friendly linking structure, your pages will be re-crawled periodically and any changes will be found automatically.
