Thumbs down LinkedIn 6.5 million passwor may have been hacked

Close to 6.5 million passwords for the online professional network LinkedIn have been leaked by hackers, it has been reported.

LinkedIn has said it is “looking into” claims that passwords have been stolen from the site, which has more than 150 million users worldwide. Reports suggest that personal email addresses could be included in the stolen data, which will cause severe problems for users who employ the same password over a number of sites online.

If any of you change your password always remember to make 13 characters or longer and always use special characters, numbers, and upper and lower case letters.

Use the same password on LinkedIn & Gmail? I'd change both immediately. http://www.techmeme.com/120606/p13#a12 … And turn on two-factor authentication on Gmail!
