SEO for a Damage Restoration services site

I have a website for my Damage Restoration/Construction business, and I am really in the dark with regards to SEO and SEM. I am really wondering if methods used for SEO is similar for all industries/fields? Like if I own a restaurant and a construction business that offers emergency restoration services, does it matter which methods I use?

    Help will greatly be appreciated.

IMO, the methods of promotion can be the same or at least very similar for two different industry sites. But the analysis results for the research data with respect to competition on the internet and research to find the best keyword phrases for each particular site can be very different. How one approaches optimization for both on-site and off-site effects based on that data can vary.

Having practiced Seo since 1996, I can tell you that the methods are the same. Where you actually get links, how much content you add to your site, and your level of competition is going to vary depending on the industry.

I think SEO is the same regardless of industry. It has to do with page optimization, keyword concentration, good quality content, relevant inbound links and, of course, your competition.

There is onsite and offsite SEO. For offsite SEO you will want to get relevant links for each site (food/restaurant sites for the restaurant and building and construction and emergency repair sites for the construction site).
