Hi could anyone tell me if the top search engines treat Blogs as they do any other website?
What I mean is Google no longer uses the Keyword meta tag anymore, but when you creat a blog even in google, you can add tags and labels to the blog for better search results are they the same thing?
Do blogs get the same ranking etc?
All top search engines takes blogs similar to websites. The main thing to consider is the content. Every search engine spider crawl your content and produce the results according to that. if your blog contains relevant information then it can be on top for any particular keyword.
The first thing the search engines consider is content. It should be unique and of high quality. If your blog contains such content, then you should not worry about anything.
The simple answer is that there is no objectively measurable characteristic that distinguishes a blog from a non-blog, such that an indexing engine could not treat them differently even if it wanted to.
