    Why does this work, and what does it mean?

    Do a search as follows: your keyword - anything.com (just like that, just substitute your keyword). See what your SERP is compared to what is shown on a normal search. In my case it is something like it was prior to Penguin.
    I got this from another forum, though the poster can't remember where they saw it or why it was said that this result was produced. Does anyone have any ideas please? I'm sure there must be a simple explanation.

    This doesn't make any sense to me ... since the word anything is not on my site it shows as lower than both pre and post penguin.

    I'm not sure why this happens, but it works perfectly for me. Only Google can explain this one. Hopefully they return
