If you can, check to see if all the javascript has fully loaded on the page before you scroll. It may be that you are moving faster than the browser is loading everything so when all our JS files have fully loaded it snaps you back to the top.

I've watched the status line at the bottom of the browser when navigating to a long page and cannot see anything loading while I'm trying to scroll, but perhaps the js files don't show during the page load.

Hard to say what it is as it's something new I've noticed very recently. I was able to scroll right away when the visible page has loaded previous to the server changes you mentioned. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

I'm not sure how the programming works, but usually once common files are loaded the first time (if they are common to the site), successive pages should load fast and without issue, no?

Usually yes, but not always the case. vBulletin likes to merge several files into one depending on the page you are currently on so it's possible that you don't have a cached file saved for it.

Still not always the case, and firebug would help us see what's causing this issue. So far you have been the only one coming forward with this problem.

@LD, In IE 9 there is the Web Developer tool that can help you see the same thing Firebug shows in FF, and Inspect Element in Chrome.

I have been finding pages take a long time to load after the banner is in place (and the banner ad). From there down, the screen is white and the indicator showing busy in the background.

Yes, that part is from our ad server. That will hopefully start to go away within the next day or two.

Typically the last thing to load is vBulletin's own internal js files using "vBulletin_init();". This is why we suspect that the issue is a slow browser load.

Here's a new scenario. When I click on a link from an external source - like a link in an email alert that is supposed to navigate to a specific post in a thread (like to view the most current post in this thread), when the page loads, I see Rah's last post, for a split second, then I'm navigated to the top of the third page.
