"Unpicked.com" - backorder, does it work ?? not th

I had/have two domains on back order with Unpicked.com, yet this morning I was able to registar one of the names [theguitarguide.com] with namecheap.com [it had been on backorder with 'unpicked' for a few weeks]

I thought that backordering a name at least gave us the confidance that we were only competing with other backorders on a first come first served basis.

This does not seem the case, in this instance at least.

I have left an enquiry with "unpicked.com" as to how this could happen, but I am also wondering if any forum members have had any similar problems.

By the way I am well and truly hooked on the "domain game", thank you 'webproworld', fellow forum members, and especially "Catalyst" !!!!

    Cheers from downunder .... Dave

    Dave,

I have not had any odd problems like that. I do have experience with backordering domain names though.

I have used goDaddy.com + snapcheck.com and had decent luck with them.

It sounds like that unPicked.com isn't a good one to go with. Until now, I have never even heard of them.

Cheers Dave and hi to another Domainiac!

If you find an expiring name you just really want, most find Pool and Snapnames the best way to get it.
I here the biggest kudos for Pool.
