Site For Sale Posting Effect SERPs?

I have a small blog that I am trying to sell. The site had been first page for the specific keyword (matching domain) for almost 2 years and I posted the site on Flippa for sale. There are other sites I guess that take feeds from Flippa and I just ended up with a number of new backlinks.

3 days after posting for sale I went to 13 on page 2 and am not down to 19. The site has never been that low for that specific keyword.

Is it possible I got hit because of these new links?

    Thanks in advance

Anything is possible. If you haven't done anything else, then that may be it--keep in mind Google recently had a major update, though.

The domain placeholder update rolled out between panda and penguin may have gotten it. Is there content on the site?

You didn't mention anything about paid links in your ad, did you? Not saying it's related at all, but just put me in mind of this SEO Bullsh1t article. Great read
