Google Better Be Getting Rid Of This Spam

Many searches are not returning good results. Although it looks like they have cleaned up some that were reported on the blog such as "make money online". But, you don't know if they just manually kicked it down in the results or not. Interestingly the original blog post that was at number 1 actually did have quite a link profile. The guy who use to run that blog had built up quite a following. Google suspended his account though a couple of years ago and the content was removed. I'm guessing many of the links were still around.

Anyway, our site to has been affected, but I don't blame Google. Although the people who are, really need to look in the mirror. It was good while it lasted, but you built your business around something you have no control over. That isn't just good business. Our business was built with lots of phone calls and the web traffic provide some nice gravy. Now, I will be focusing on building traffic from some other sources but also going back to some good ole' meat and potatoes (cold calling) marketing.

I do believe the latest update has "punished" many innocent sites, but I also wonder just how innocent some of the complainers are. One admitted to using an SEO company that only did white hat stuff. But do they really know that?!? I know as white hat as we have tried to be, you have to dabble here and there.
