    Social Bookmarking For Seo

You probably have heard all the hype surrounding the term Social Bookmarking in the past months. There are many books on this topic but none of them are teaching you the correct way to bookmark your site. Is there any one can share me some effective ideas on how to use social bookmarking sites to get ranking better in SEO

I'm going on the assumption you are really interested in the subject. Therefore here are a couple of links in WPW that you can start with. Note: some of the threads/posts may be a little old and some of the links may not work, but check them out just the same. If you wish to search for more threads on the subject, the forum search function works really well.

When it comes to bookmark sites for SEO purposes you have to know there's a lot of garbage out there, but there are also very high quality bookmarks sites, such as digg and delicious.

If you're promoting a good quality site you should always look for Bookmark sites that provide categories that are fitted for your site (do not post an insurance site under the category 'Shopping' only because it was the only category available). Try to keep the description very seo oriented and not too long.

And if you're worried about the follow/nofollow issue, you should know that most bookmark sites actually are dofollow!

Just bookmarking own sites is a not a good approach.
If you happen to find any quality site (even if its your competitor), then you should bookmark it.
    Am I right?

Given that this is a very old subject, and that you yourself have veered sharply off-topic with your post entitled "Social media sites aren't all that valuable for link building," the sincerity of this query is in doubt.

This is actually benefit to you, because average users like fresh content. This is a powerful "vote" for your content. Obviously the more back links you have for your content the better for your SEO. This is where the power of social bookmarking really comes in.

Nowadays, just bookmarking a URL is not going to bring a lot of traffic and SEO value to that URL. If you are the one doing the social bookmarking, you actually have to have a presence on that social network and be an active member--so there's a better chance that the social bookmark you create is going to be shared. URLs that "go hot" on social networks have a much better chance of having more SEO value (and get more links from other sites) than social bookmarks that are just going to be bookmarked by one person or one ID.

Based on what I've learned, social bookmarking is effective with low competition or medium competition keywords. If you are targeting highly competitive keywords, it would be best to combine it with other back-linking methods. As someone suggests, most of those links are no-follow which is not going to have much of an impact on your ranking. Social bookmarking can be used because, it's good to use as many back-linking methods as you can to diversify your link-building strategy.

no follow effect your ranking in search engine.

I read Google forum discussion that if you have more no follow links for your website , this effect your ranking in search engine optimization.

For example , if your website having 100 no follow back link , this mean those 100 websites from where you get no follow back link they saying , we don't this website . we don't trust on this website. Mean you received a red flag from those 100 websites.

How many no follow you received also effect your ranking.

Please share your knowledge and information .

    Regards.
