I had tested with other websites, which ever site is showing results for link:domain.com is showing results for related:domain.com and vice versa
I think that the link: command problem has been dealt with, i.e. it basically became obsolete with the introduction of GWT 5 years ago and what you may or may not get from it now is pretty meaningless.
As for the related: command I hadn't heard of it before your posting, and just now did a little searching ("related command google"). The most recent result I could see is dated Sept 2009 and it is an article from seoroundtable.com and it suggests it can be accessed by clicking on the "similar" link that appears below search results. However, that link is no longer shown, I believe it was removed around June 2011.
So, two things that seem relevant here is that no-one has posted anything about it in more than two years (unless I missed something) and a link is no longer provided from the search results.
To me that suggests that like the links: command the related: command is also now obsolete (though still functioning) and that the results gained from it are also perhaps just as meaningless. However, this is just a theory, i.e. I haven't been able to substantiate it for sure.

My dear friend, there is lot of difference between similar: and related: you can test it with any domain and see the results.

Anyways thanks for putting efforts to answer my question.

The article I referred to from seoroundtable.com says this:

"The related command is triggered when you click on the "similar" link in the search results...When you click that link, it basically triggers an advanced query for related sites. The query is [related:www.seroundtable.com"
    (source: http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/020785.html)

So you are saying it is something different, they are saying it is the same thing. So I thought I would check back on what Google actually says:

"The query related:URL will list web pages that are similar to the web page you specify. For instance, [ related:www.consumerreports.org ] will list web pages that are similar to the Consumer Reports home page....You can also find similar pages from the “Similar pages” link on Google’s main results page"
    (source: http://www.googleguide.com/advanced_operators.html)

From these two references it is clear to me that they are (or were) the same thing.

You say that a similar: command returns different results to a related: command. Well it would do because there isn't a similar: command! If you do such a search all you will get is results relevant to the site in question and the word "similar". As explained in the two referebces above, "similar" was just a link to the related: command.

In honesty I think you are concerning yourself over nothing.

I agree with this article, but my question is search results all the links are not showing "similar" link. See the results here: http://www.google.com/search?q=disco...ient=firefox-a

For 7th link there is no similar link. Now the question why Google is not showing "similar" link for few sites?

First I must admit that I thought that the similar link had been removed, but now I see that it is simply hidden. But as to why it isn't there for every site, sorry but I don't have any suggestions for that.

I have to agree with ozsubasi, I think you're concerned for no real reason. I mean, there are so many other metrics that indicate whether your site is doing good or not..

Anyhow, I found this thread here, and, from what I understand, these suggetions may or may not be provided depending on whether google thinks they are necessary.

I just did a search using one of my keywords, and my site is #6 on page 1 of Google. I clicked the two chevrons (>>) to the right of the entry for my site, and there is the preview of my home page. Above it is a link to cache, but not one for similar (just as in the example you gave earlier). I then clicked on the similar link for one of the other sites on the page, and my site doesn't appear in the list that is produced. Am I concerned? No, because anyone who searched for my keyword would have a page showing 10 "similar" sites anyway, why would they need to do a further search using the similar link? Does it indicate a problem with my site? If there were a problem it wouldn't be at #6 for that keyword or on the first page for a number of other keywords as well.
As said by SENtelligence, there are other metrics, for instance SERP, traffic etc that are much more meaningful in gauging whether there is a problem with a site.
