Question Why is there still no "Software" forum here at WPW?

I'm most curious, that after all these years there's still no "Software" forum here at WPW. Why is that?

Because software isn't the focus of this forum?

Neither is Hardware, Operating Systems, etc., etc., etc. Therefore your comment is non sequitur.

"Suitable", perhaps, but it would not get the attention needed in a totally off-topic forum. It would make sense to have one, as per my post #4 ^.

There's a decent amount of threads in the OS forum which has fairly limited brands of OS to discuss. I don't see why there wouldn't be a lot of threads created and considerable posting in a general Software sub forum in Computer assistance. No?

Indeed, that's kind of my point. You have forums for Hardware, Operating Systems, and all those others listed under Computer assistance, except there's no Software forum. Logically there should be one.

Which "software"? There are just a few more "softwares" than operating systems. I would wager that there are plenty of "software" specific support groups where you could get FAR better information than a general topic forum.

I totally do not understand your replies. I could also say: "Which hardware?? There are just a few more "hardwares than [hardware name here]". So why is there a Hardware forum? "Which Operating Systems"? So why is there an Operating Systems forum?

Which is precisely why there should be a Software forum!

(I can't believe I'm having to state the obvious)....There is no area where a member can go to post questions about software. This thread was prompted, suggested, by LD as per my thread here, a suggestion: ("A Software sub forum sounds like a natural fit for the Computer Assistance forum. I'd suggest posting in the Suggestion forum"), with which I concurred.

Posts such as this one, logically need a Software forum.

Again, which is precisely my point to which I described above! A "general topics" forum would not be as suitable for specific software questions than that of a Software forum! That, is why one is needed.

So your suggestion is for WPW members to leave here and seek-out other forums to ask questions about software?
