    My WordPress blog redesign

I recently rebuild my blog from server to css, using a theme framework I've been polishing for the last year or so.

Check it out here - http://jeffsebring.com/

It's a responsive, mobile first design, and has very few images, using web fonts heavily, including Pictos Server Fonts for the social links. In the header. ( before you mention the anchor text for them, I know, and don't care. I made sure screenreaders don't read them. )

I built the server from a blank Ubuntu 11.10 installation, using NGINX with Varnish caching in front of it, and APC with Batcache to handle heavy traffic spikes.

I also removed comments completely. I think for some blogs today, comments are pretty useless and annoying. It's easy enough for people to create their own blog somewhere if they want to comment on what I've posted.

The next upgrade will be a custom post type linked list that I can spam with everything useful I consume on the web.

    Any feedback is appreciated.
I build custom WordPress themes and plugins with love, and occasionally post on my stupid blog about related topics. Contact me.

I actually really like the simple look, everything's clear, so much so that I wanna use it...I won't though...checked it out on my iPhone, everything looked OK there too.

All I can suggest from a design perspective is to make the read more link a different hue...3 is better than 2.

Oh and maybe add Facebook commenting (in the future Google commenting) capabilities. You obviously understand the benefits of doing so.

Thanks. I think I'll let it sit and simmer for a while before I find another color to add to the mix. There are actually 4 main colors there. The background, blue, black, and a charcoal for text.

I had wordpress native comments on the last version, I just decided I don't want any comments on my blog. Comments are great on a community site, but this is just one person's blog. I only want the words I write on that website.

I think titles allow a bit more room for more expressive fonts. Compressed Light is one of my favorites because it's so extreme.

    Dear Optic,

Your website is to good. I impressed the from your simple design and the quality of design.Logo only the problem in your website. Please add a perfect logo to attract more people. your website is very simple for looking and also very good for looking. And that mouse-over drop-down is really good and unique.

I can't find the menu on the top. I saw mail icon and three boxes only.
