I recently rebuild my blog from server to css, using a theme framework I've been polishing for the last year or so.
Check it out here - http://jeffsebring.com/
It's a responsive, mobile first design, and has very few images, using web fonts heavily, including Pictos Server Fonts for the social links. In the header. ( before you mention the anchor text for them, I know, and don't care. I made sure screenreaders don't read them. )
I built the server from a blank Ubuntu 11.10 installation, using NGINX with Varnish caching in front of it, and APC with Batcache to handle heavy traffic spikes.
I also removed comments completely. I think for some blogs today, comments are pretty useless and annoying. It's easy enough for people to create their own blog somewhere if they want to comment on what I've posted.
The next upgrade will be a custom post type linked list that I can spam with everything useful I consume on the web.
Any feedback is appreciated.
