PRweb is quite expensive but if you look around there're people who can submit to PRweb at discount rates because they got subscription for 1 year or so.

I have read in many reviews that PRweb is worth the cost.

PRWeb or otherwise, subscriptions can be quite expensive to purchase. Having said that, I'd be curious to know how would one go about finding who has a subscription in the first place, and why would that person give you access to their account??

They purchase subscription to submit a set number of articles but sometimes they couldn't use them all. I have seen such people in some other webmaster forums.

PrWeb is really powerful in distribution of your PR all around the web which gives your press-release good chances to be picked up by some major sites in your niche.

Especially when one can configure some aspects of the release distribution to fit one's niche, as PRWeb allows.

Same here, I never use PRWeb for press release, but I know its more popular on internet for Press Release Submission. Right now I'm using Emailwire .com, and I fully satisfied with its services. You can try this one after researching on it.

IMO PR submission is worth only if you think that you are announcing a new product and/or feature that can catch the attention of the news editors so that the news can spreads like a fire.

Hmmmm. So all those high quality backlinks aren't worth anything? From sites like Googlenews.com, Foxnews.com Streetinsider, etc?

Press releases are another great way to add back links to your web site. press releases are not only posted on the web site you submit to, but are also picked up by other related web sites. This can make each Press release give you a large number of new back links for your web site and improve your page rank.
