    Question wordpress customization query

i'm sure everyone is familiar with how wordpress lets you set your static home page, and then you can have a "feed" page for your blog posts or whatever.

what i am looking for is to have another page like this constructed so i can have the normal "blog" menu tab that is a feed of my blog posts, then another "feed" page that i can add to my menu bar as "portfolio"

what do you think is fair price to have someone do this?

If all of the "Portfolio" posts are in one category, you can simply add a link to that category's archives page. (An archive page functions similarly to the main blog page but only shows the posts in that specific category.) Depending on your configuration, the link would look something like "http:/example.com/baseurl/archives/category/"

hi there, yes I had already thought of doing it this way, but i was thinking a custom add on would be nice, plus in my opinion that is one of the best structures for websites

    breadcrumb tabs for your pages
    blog style feed page tabs

maybe just me, but i love the navigation style plus it's options and possibilities

You can do this using categories, depending on how you are already using them. You could also create a custom taxonomy, to be used for this kind of organization.

You can expect to pay a few hundred dollars for an experienced wordpress developer to write a custom Must Use plugin for you to do it right.
I build custom WordPress themes and plugins with love, and occasionally post on my stupid blog about related topics. Contact me.
