I wonder if you have an easy checkout where bots can do it - bots from the frauders checking whether the cc will be approved.
Report it to the FBI (or equivalent in your country). See lower right here http://www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/fraud/internet_fraud.
    HTH!

Lawyers argue about anything and everything. Just to keep in practice. Many lawyers turn into quite disagreeable people.

A bot has no access to either the merchant's terminal settings or the response codes from the card issuer for either the Authorization or Capture steps of a transaction.

Unless the merchant is the victim of a massive organized criminal activity, the FBI will be of no help.

IMO, exoticpublishing's "legal guy" is either wet behind the ears, or trying to fleece her.

It's a good thing this is only YOUR opinion & not fact.

And no, I don't wish to continue arguing with you which is why I stopped responding & I hope this isn't deleted b/c you have the power to delete my post, yet keep all of yours live.

IMO, you seem to like to always be right about everything as I read your posts often when I'm reading a thread. I've never known one person who's right about everything & can't learn new things. But I understand a lot of people in this world do think they know it all which is sad. This is why strife runs ramped in society.

And Coldfire, he didn't get paid for his opinion, so there goes that theory. In fact he learned something from my experience with my chargeback as he was uneducated when it came to how little online companies can do to protect themselves from fraudulent customers.

I'll continue to say, ALL companies online need to start taking a more strict stance on their screening practices. Part of the problem is that I often get customers saying, "I never have to do that with any other company online." & they don't b/c most companies just let the charge go thru with no screening at all. Heck there's tons out there that don't even do AVS screening.

Good Heavens! A lady of the female persuasion is letting us have the last word. Her post must be preserved at all costs!
