    Please Review my Logo Submissions

    Hello, Everyone.

DKMG Studios is a small web & print design studio that will specialize in luxury branding I have been freelancing for several years but now that I'm married & settled I want to get incorporated and turn this into a full on business with a complete corporate identity. But i feel like i cant move forward until I get my logo finshed. so what are your thoughts on my logo concepts

PS. In RE to the lion my full company name is Design Kings Media Group

I am drawn to the top one - mostly because the "image" separates the "DKMG" and "STUDIOS". IMO, the others make the wording look like just a bunch of letters.

I would ask, where did the OP acquire the lion icon? If it is borrowed from somewhere then it's not a logo as it is already in use. If it is original, then the second question would be, how many other things/entities/idioms are already associated in people's minds with the symbol, and how does one counteract that in making the symbol a recognizable brand? Will it stand alone, without any text, and still pass the marketing awareness test?

ING and Royal Bank use an orange coloured lion too. Albeit, the Royals lion is more yellowish and both are huge financial institutions.

I'd bet there are hundreds of lions out there being used in logos. But you are right, wegillis, about the usage issue. There are threads on that same topic of improper usage of images here in WPW.

@ wegillis you made a very good point by how would it stand on its own(w/o any text) however I feel that because i deal 98% of the time on a very small local level and my brand does not have to be recognized internationally I am okay using just the icon. The lion icon does a great job of relating my company to the security that the financial institutions have as well as the royal/luxury image used for prestigious high end jewelry.
