How to create a "Unique" first impression

    Hi everybody,

I want my visitors feel my shop is "unique" in few seconds. For this, I've come to the idea to give a 3D photorealistic design to my logo and put it in my main slider in homepage. Check the result here:

Do you think "uniqueness" is a value shop owners must focus on priority?

Do you think this image can lead my visitors to think my value proposition is unique and that "I'm not random shop" ?

Would yourself put money on the table to give a feeling of uniqueness to your website?

I would really appreciate some comments on my questions
    Thanks to all,

    Mk

I think that there is no logo that can entirely convince your customers your shop is unique. In the end, it has to be about the overall functionality and design of the site, of which a logo is a part of. You do need a unique value proposition, but I would be surprised if a logo is enough to make people believe you have one. What are you actually offering to your customers that they can't get anywhere else? That's the main question you should be asking. The logo itself is nice, but I would have to see it in the context of the website before giving a concrete appraisal.

Thanks a lot for you answer.

I totally agree with you that you need a unique value proposition and a global design reflecting your values. I was more wondering if this image could be a additional point to make people think it's worth it spending more than 2 sec in my website...
Unfortunately I can't give you any example of the context yet.

Logos are important. I do not think they hold as much value for new visitors, The right logo can provide easy recognition for returning users. The best use of a logo it to try and grow it into a symbol that returning visitors learn to trust.

the easier it is to recognise the better. (provided the user learns it is associated with a good experience)

    1. yes, definitely!
    2. yes and no. If your products/goods are unique or of high value, a professional logo will make them feel more confident to shop on your site.
    3. yes, I would spend money to hire a pro for the job! As I would do if I had to design a shop in real life.

I think you're neglecting a major role the logo plays. You'll not only be using this logo on your site, but you will most probably be using it on other (marketing) sites that require the logo to be a certain width, height, and size. Do you think your 3D logo can fit all the different sizes across the web and still have a good-enough resolution? Also, I'm in agreement that your value proposition is far more important to your (potential) customers than a unique logo. Customers generally think about what you can do for them; communicate that with a purposeful website and not a unique logo.
