Is there any limitations of putting the keywords and phrases in my meta Keyword?

I have read many post of meta keyword and keyword phrase. It is very important for a Website/ blog. But i can not understand how many keywords and phrases i will use in my meta Keyword? Can you give any answer for this?

Due to the abuse to the SERPS, "G" does not put as much emphasis on your meta KW tags as it once did. However, they are still an important part of your basic SEO foundation. There are3 basic areas where your KW's and tags can be found. The Title, Description/Content and KW's make up your meta tags so that the SERPS can validate/summarize what your site is about and that the KWs are relevant to the sites content. The search engines will still crawl the site for them so that they can get a summarized version of what the site is about and what your KWs are.

In fact, this tag does not use any more if you want to position your website on a particular keyword, therefore, do not waste too much time and energy.

The keyword meta tag is something that you might not have to worry about with Google, however others SE's still do use it their rankings.

Google doesn't bother with it and the other search engine BING uses it as a spam indicator - to a greater or lesser degree - and so in essence we don't need to worry about it and it feels great not too!

Oh! Looks like things or ideas have changed related to keywords and BING - a myth dispelled. Now when it comes to keywords, you be the judge.

...here is the answer, The Title character set should be around 79 characters and the keyword count should be 8 to 9 having the character set of 176 !! Thanks!

Not really. If you're going to use the keywords meta tag do so like this:

Selling red woman's shoes?
keywords = red, woman,shoes,footwear

Selling decking and siding for backyards?
keywords=decking,siding,backyards,landscaping

Selling SEO services in Manhattan?
keywords = seo,Manhattan,internet,marketing

Selling cosmetic dentistry in Lewsiville Texas?
keywords = cosmetic,dentist,lewisville,texas,tx

It was basically BING that came out and alluded to the keywords meta tag being used as a spam indicator, but I posted an update recently about the subject. Feel free to share your thoughts.
