Exclamation Will Anonymous Really Launch #OpGlobalBlackout?

So I'm just wondering this time - I'm sure everyone's heard of Anonymous and the many threats they've made to various governments and corporations world wide - some have come through and I think quite a bit haven't - am I wrong?

Either way, if you're unaware Anonymous is about to launch #OpGlobalBlackout which is their response to the American Federal goverment's take down of MegaUploads, the file sharing website. They say that if the site isn't reinstated within 72 hours (the video message was posted January 21) that they will take down the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, US Bank, Capital One, Chase Bank, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

Now if this is the case, and they do take down these sites, what do you all think will happen? I'm asking this because if Anonymous does do this and continue waring with governments there's a question of who actually is in control here?

What do you all think of this? Do you think we're staring into the face of a huge global internet war? What are your sentiments? Do you agree with Anonymous?

Frankly I'm impressed and I'm not only saying this so they don't take down my website (seriously).

If someone cant view a youtube clip of a funny dog does it really matter? People have gone without the Playstation network before, and lived. Really is it any different than sitting down and blocking a street or chaining themselves to a gate

Sure they have technical abilities, and are very good at finding wannabe geeks to act as fall guys so their social engineering skills are there.

I expect what we are seeing is a more public view of what is already going on between the governments of the world.

The previous anonymous DDOS attack had about 5500 machines, it was executed right after megaupload was taken down.
if anonymous plans on taking down facebook, twitter, sony playstation network and other companies with vast resources
simultaneously for a period of 72 hours, they will need a lot more machines, at least 50,000 machines, probably twice that, which is doubtful
    they have in their botnets.
So no, anonymous can't really take down all those networks as they promised, this would not be the first time they
    don't fulfill their threads
