    Question Pricing Help?

The company I work for wants me to make single page websites for employees. This will only include a photo, bio and social media icons. I have never done something so basic I don't know what to charge per website. Any suggestions?

I don't quite understand the arrangement. Do you work for this company, or are you a subcontractor supplying work for the company?

Everyone there is considered Independent Agents. So it's the agents that want the webpages not the company I should have thought that through before posting

Assuming you are a developer that invoices for work you do for them, or any company, just imagine making one web page as a standard you can replicate any number of times.
    • Consider the designing of the template - how long will it take you?
    • Do you have all sorts of company graphics etc to make the template?
    • Are you inserting these into an existing website?
    • How many images for agents pages do you have to work with?
    • How long will it take you to manipulate the images for standardization?
    • On average, how long will it take you to populate the average page after the template is done?
    • Then uploading, testing and then say a 10% contingency?
But the most important aspect is determining what your charge-out rate is. Or, call it your cost to be in business charge.

Everyone's is different, but designers can charge anything - within reason of course. But they key is knowing your charge out rate - then multiply that by the extimated hours it will take to get the job done.

    Hope that helps.

Assuming this charge is just for one page and not "per one web-site", as you put it, how much is the charge if they have 110 employees?

The operative word here is, TEMPLATE. This has nothing to do with head count, anyway. A simple data table and an images directory to point at. A few hours at most. Some PHP, and some relatively simple jQuery (a plug-in) and Bob's your uncle. All in a day's work. Bill whatever a day's work is worth to you.
