    Keyword Rankings are not improving?

    Hello there!
    I am doing SEO for a UK web design company from almost 6 months but still i have not got the top rankings for my main keywords? i have used all the sources like Directory postings, Forums and articles but all in vain. So can some one suggest me that should i do then?

    Sounds like you've focused on the sizzle (off-page) and ignored the beef (on-page.)

    Are you taking advantage of the H1 tags in your pages? Keyword and keyword phrase usage on related pages? You need to make sure you're utilizing your keywords on your pages the best you can

    While most of these general sources might increase your link profile (which is good), I'm thinking there might not be a whole lot of links that will improve page rank or SERPs. What "quality" backlinks, if any, have you sought out and how are they configured/managed?

    try on doing on page it is the first thing you must have done before going to off page part.
    on page includes:-
    meta tag, hyperlink optimization, image optimization, h1 tag do it you will find some change in your ranking.

    If the site is UK based you probably want to try and get UK based links not US based ones or this could confuse Google.
