For my money, until I see some clearly defined value of that extension, I'll leave it to others to test those waters!

I would strongly recommend using a .mobi domain. Data rates are coming down and carriers are now going the way of unlimited data packages for a low rate.

Mobile data rates are irrelevant to the TLD.

When a visitor sees a .mobi domain they automatically think (mobile), and they find it easy to remember because it's as simple as .com.

No they don't. Most users are oblivious to the TLD, as was earlier addressed.
